Singer

Gary’s extensive background in choral singing, particularly in the world of English choral music, gave him experience in blend, tone, sight-reading, and also one to a part singing. His studies under Jayne Carpenter in Manchester, and David Lowe in Cambridge, have equipped him with a thorough familiarity with the technical expertise of singing. As a freelancer, he has performed in such prestigious venues as St. Pauls Cathedral and The Royal Albert Hall. Currently, he is a regular member of the Iken scholars and the Fisher consort, and is a lay clerk at St. Barnabas in Ealing. He has also given solo recitals, performing Mahler’s ‘Rückert-Lieder’ with Ji Heng Lee, and had solo roles onstage in productions such as Candide, Iolanthe, and the Francis Bacon Opera. Most recently Gary performed ‘Rigoletto’ in the role of the Duke with Brent Opera Company.
